METHODS, NOT MYSTERY

How the tier list is evaluated

Understand how AION2 Tier List separates regional class facts, comparative performance and evidence limitations.

Three modes, three questions

Group PvE asks how a class contributes to a particular group and encounter. PvP must identify whether the evidence concerns small-group combat or large-scale fights. Solo considers independent survival, clearing and the attention a player needs to give the class. We do not hide these differences inside an overall weighted score.

Published source tiers and our guide advice

The main list reproduces Game8’s PvE/PvP placements as a dated, attributed snapshot. PlayerAuctions is a separate overall comparison, not a Solo ranking. These sources may use different versions and criteria; selecting a service does not turn their views into verified regional tiers. Our added value is the role comparison, beginner paths, skill-mechanic explanations and practice checklists. Brawler and Solo remain unranked where these sources provide no coverage.

What our own future S, A and B ratings would mean

S means a supported standout advantage in the selected context. A means reliable performance with identifiable trade-offs. B means more conditions or limitations in that same context. Awaiting evaluation is a separate state: it is not a low rank. No tier is currently approved for the current regional patches.

Facts and judgments stay separate

A skill guide can establish that a tool exists; it cannot establish that its class outperforms every alternative. Population share, equipment level and combat power are not direct measurements of class strength. A ranking needs a stated encounter, version, service and comparison basis.

What counts as evidence

We prioritize original regional notices and guides for facts. Player observations must identify the service, date and conditions. Copied articles do not become independent evidence simply because multiple websites repeat them. Disagreements remain visible until their scopes can be reconciled.

Review and revision

The site maintainer records source checks and writes the explanations. We do not claim a professional panel, in-game tests or statistical samples that do not exist. An approved revision must describe what changed, why, its affected classes or rules, and the supporting source. Building the website does not update the review date.

Known limits of this edition

The Taiwan class roster has a source record. All nine Taiwan class and skill guide bodies were read through NC’s public guide API on 9 October 2026. Scenario trade-offs and practice exercises are editorial interpretations of those mechanics, not playtested rotations. Current comparative tiers are not certified. Korea and international services do not inherit Taiwan availability or ratings. Public guides and the source-based planner are eligible for indexing. The personalized comparison utility remains noindex. Indexing is not evidence of gameplay verification.
